Proponent Other Names
Other Names record alternate names for a proponent. They help users find and interpret organizations that operate under more than one name or have changed names over time.
Fields

Business Rules

|---|---|
| Names should be meaningful | Do not add punctuation-only, duplicate, or temporary search hints. |
| Historical names should remain available | Keep former names when they explain older agreements, claims, or documents. |
| Bilingual values should be paired | If only one real-world language exists, repeat the accepted name in both fields rather than leaving a blank. |
| Deletes are soft deletes | Removing a name hides it from active lists without erasing past context. |
Operating Guidance
Add other names before users begin searching for the proponent in agreement creation. This reduces duplicate profile creation caused by alternate operating names.
